Evaluation Planning for 2020/21
One of the aims for the Uni Connect programme is “contribute to a stronger evidence base around ‘what works’ in higher education outreach and strengthen evaluation practice in the sector.” To support this aim we decided to create an evaluation toolkit, used by the delivery staff, which enables the team to have a strong understanding of how each activity we design and deliver links to our objective of increasing participation in Higher Education. This document outlines the steps taken in Spring 2019/20 in order to create this toolkit and provides a brief overview of the structure and content of the toolkit. Completed in October 2020, the document also outlines our ambitions for how this toolkit is going to be used in 2020/21.
Liverpool John Moores University, as part of the Shaping Futures Parental Engagement Working Group, carried out a questionnaire to identify whether parents and carers of students in the Liverpool City Region feel that they have the knowledge and guidance to support their students into Higher Education, and whether existing provision needs to be enhanced or added to.
